About Therapy
Why Therapy?
Growth, pain, struggle, grief, stress, feeling stuck—these are all normal parts of life, but we don’t have to weather these storms alone. Therapy provides a space for acceptance, support, and exploration so that you can reestablish your sense of hope and strength.
My practice is about helping you to find your Still Point— that sense you have when you are grounded, feel steady in yourself, and know that you are working towards your goals. Being still is not the same as being stuck— your Still Point is about being in your calm, most self-assured place— the version of you that is fully present.
Areas of Specialization
Depression
Maybe you’ve felt down in the dumps for too long. Or you are irritable, lethargic, and have stopped recognizing yourself as the person you once were. I’ll guide you in getting back to doing the things you love and feeling your best.
Anxiety, Stress, Work/Life Balance
Maybe you notice your anxiety in your racing thoughts, trouble focusing, or a general feeling of chaos and panic. Or maybe distress resides more in your body- in a tight stomach, holding your breath, difficulties with digestion or sleep. Let’s develop strategies and a plan to help you feel better.
The Teenage Experience
It can sometimes take a certain know-how to connect with teens. I have a track record of helping teens to feel accepted and heard, and am able to provide guidance and feedback to parents along the way.
Life Transitions
Transitional moments in life— be it a new relationship, parenthood, a promotion, starting a graduate program, the aging of a parent, children moving in and out of the home— all can present unique challenges and stressors. Let me support you.
Grief & Loss
The end of a relationship, the loss of friendship, death of a loved one, the death of a pet, miscarriage and abortion— these are a few of the reasons we grieve. Even as loss is a normal part of life, grief can be overwhelming. Allow me to sit with you in this process.
Trauma
The impacts of trauma can be immediately apparent- or they can seep in insidiously. You don’t have to navigate this alone- I’d be humbled to partner with you in this journey.

Where We’ll Meet
“At the still point of the turning world. Neither flesh nor fleshless;
Neither from nor towards; at the still point, there the dance is,
But neither arrest nor movement. And do not call it fixity,
Where past and future are gathered. Neither movement from nor towards,
Neither ascent nor decline. Except for the point, the still point,
There would be no dance, and there is only the dance.”
